Amid Bitcoin Decline, Three Altcoins Close to New Highs

HYPE, LEO, and WBT remain close to their all-time highs despite the crypto selloff sparked by the Binance hack.

A widespread selloff hit the crypto market following the Binance exchange hack, which involved roughly $6.3 billion in losses. Nevertheless, three major altcoins are trading at levels surprisingly close to their all-time highs.

The tokens Hyperliquid (HYPE), LEO Token (LEO), and WhiteBIT Coin (WBT) each sit within 17% of their historic peaks.

Technical indicators point to HYPE as the most likely candidate to break its record. LEO is exhibiting bullish momentum, while WBT is approaching a significant test that could dictate its trajectory.

1. Hyperliquid (HYPE): Wall Street Agreement May Drive Price Past $100

HYPE has proven to be one of the strongest tokens during the broader selloff.

The token gained ground after a deal was struck between Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and trade[XYZ], the operator of perpetual futures markets on Hyperliquid.

Pending approval, the agreement could permit regulated US trading activity on the network.

HYPE is trading at $90.66, only 7.4% beneath its September peak of $97.99.

The technical picture is promising. HYPE recaptured the $85.19 threshold on October 29, logging its highest trading volume since August. The token's Relative Strength Index (RSI), a gauge of price momentum, has risen to 65.

Nonetheless, selling pressure has consistently appeared around the $97 mark.

The price analysis implies the following:

  • Bullish target: A close above the 93–95 range could drive HYPE towards $97.99, and subsequently to $104.
  • Bearish risk: A drop below $85.19 could lead to a pullback towards $75.14.

2. LEO Token (LEO): Impressive Rally Prompts Overheating Concern

LEO has also withstood the general market weakness, currently trading at $9.46, a mere 9.3% shy of its record $10.43.

On October 29, the token broke free from a trading range that had persisted for a month, having repeatedly found support near $8.91.

A cautionary signal has now appeared.

LEO's RSI has climbed to 80, the highest level since April. While this points to robust buying momentum, it also raises a flag that the rally could be overheating.

The token currently faces immediate resistance in the 9.49–9.60 zone, an area that has thwarted previous rallies.

The outlook is as follows:

  • Bullish target: Breaking above $9.60 could push LEO towards $9.80 and ultimately its all-time high of $10.43.
  • Bearish risk: A rejection near $9.49 could trigger another drop back towards $8.91.

3. WhiteBIT Coin (WBT): Buyers Seek to Halt the Slide

Of the three tokens, WBT exhibits the most precarious outlook.

Trading at $73.76, the token sits 16.3% below its September peak of $88. In contrast to HYPE and LEO, WBT's recent price movement has been negative.

Selling volume has increased sharply, and the RSI has fallen towards 30, nearing oversold conditions. Additionally, the token has been creating a pattern of successively lower highs.

This downturn occurs against a backdrop of heightened exchange security fears following the Binance attack, though no direct link to WBT's selling pressure has been identified.

Nevertheless, a recovery remains a possibility if WBT can hold its current support level.

Two distinct price scenarios are evident:

  • Bullish target: Defending the 73–75 support zone could pave the way for a recovery toward $86, with the $88 record still the primary goal.
  • Bearish risk: A drop below $70.48 could hasten losses, sending the token towards $65.08.

Currently, HYPE looks the best placed to make a run at its record. LEO must surmount its resistance zone, and WBT needs to stabilize before any meaningful recovery can take place.
