Apple teased a Pokémon-themed Beats Pill speaker, hinting at a Pikachu edition. Pokémon replied with an eyes emoji.
Apple's Beats by Dre audio brand has offered a glimpse of a Pokémon-themed speaker. A six-second video ends with the logos of both companies and suggests a Pikachu edition of the Beats Pill. The Pokémon account responded on X with an eye emoji.
The teaser arrives about six weeks following Pikachu's visit to Apple Park. However, Beats has yet to announce a price, release date, or the character's name. The Pokémon Company, co-owned by Nintendo, handles global brand partnerships for the franchise.

The video displays a dark pill-shaped device with yellow lightning and purple energy flashes. These yellow bolts evoke Pikachu, the electric-type mascot of the franchise. Yet Beats does not explicitly name any character. The tagline 'Time to catch something new' references the franchise's well-known catchphrase.
Pokémon's eye-emoji response indicates its involvement in the launch.

Separately, a Pokémon-focused news account on X posted images of a yellow Pikachu box with 'Beats Pill' labeling. Still, neither company has verified the final design.
Such a speaker would extend from a product that Apple recently revived. The company brought back the Pill in 2024, two years after discontinuing the previous version.
This partnership follows an August visit that had already sparked fan speculation. At that time, Pikachu visited Apple Park alongside Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara. A few days afterward, John Ternus succeeded Tim Cook as Apple's CEO.
Apple acquired Beats in 2014, and the brand frequently employs co-branded versions to rejuvenate existing products. Earlier this year, it launched special editions with Nike and K-pop artist Jennie. A Pokémon edition would extend that strategy to gaming enthusiasts.
Pokémon has evolved into a financial narrative alongside its cultural impact. According to the CardTrack 100 index, rare graded cards have generated about 150% returns since September 2021.
Consequently, Pokémon cards outperformed Bitcoin, gold, and the S&P 500 over that period.
Coinbase has hinted at digital Pokémon card packs that can be redeemed for physical cards.
Today, the Pokémon brand influences card valuations, Polymarket prediction markets, and technology product launches. An Apple Pokémon speaker will test whether that influence reaches consumer electronics.
