Bitcoin traded near $82,800 on Wednesday. The analysis highlights the $89,337 Fibonacci retracement as a key upside target.
Main points from the report
Following a moderate Tuesday recovery, Bitcoin traded near $82,800 on Wednesday, with easing selling pressure bolstering the case for further advances.
Ethereum and XRP were also stable after observing positive daily closes, the report noted. The technical assessment provided, however, looks exclusively at Bitcoin.
The price of Bitcoin remains above the $80,769 50-day EMA and the $76,090 200-day EMA. Maintaining these thresholds keeps the technical backdrop positive, although stronger buying momentum is still required to support a prolonged uptrend.
The daily MACD indicator is drawing closer to a crossover above its signal line.
A full bullish crossover would support the view that downside pressure is waning. The signal has not yet materialized, however.
The RSI is close to 51, just above the neutral mark of 50. This level points to a mild pickup in momentum, without showing intense buying activity or an overbought state.
Collectively, these metrics suggest the market is stabilizing rather than breaking out decisively. Additional price increases would offer firmer evidence that buyers are taking charge.
A 78.6% Fibonacci retracement level near $89,337 stands as a key resistance point should Bitcoin continue its recovery.
This retracement level is calculated from a low anchor of $57,800 up to a high reference of $97,924.
A durable push beyond $89,337 would then make the $97,924 region the subsequent primary objective according to this technical framework.
These price points are conditional technical goals. Bitcoin still needs persistent buying demand to advance significantly from its current near-$83,000 standing.
The closest major support resides at the 50-day EMA, roughly $80,769. Defending that average would aid in protecting the recent recovery framework.
A steady decline beneath that level would damage the short-term bullish scenario and turn focus to the 50% Fibonacci retracement at $77,862.
Further down, the 200-day EMA at $76,090 acts as a deeper indicator of the overarching trend.
Thus, the near-term view for Bitcoin depends on holding support levels as momentum builds. A validated MACD crossover, matched by steady purchasing pressure, would provide better confirmation that the upturn can progress toward the identified resistance.
