Veteran trader Peter Brandt calls Stellar a long-shot bet based on chart signals as XLM gains momentum.
Longtime trader Peter Brandt has described Stellar (XLM) as a speculative wager worth monitoring over the next several years, basing his view on technical indicators rather than market narratives or blockchain philosophy.
The remark arrives as XLM picks up steam, driven by emerging chart formations and real-world institutional usage.
A long-shot bet refers to a speculative trade carrying uncertain odds that could yield significant returns if successful. Brandt, a well-known Market Wizard, shared this perspective with his 1.3 million followers on X, stating that Stellar seems like a strong candidate for such a trade.
“I do not need to understand an asset to trade it. Price is the only thing that matters to me,” Brandt said on X.

He accompanied the statement with a technical chart review rather than a definitive forecast. Over decades, Brandt has established his reputation through classical technical analysis applied across numerous asset classes. XLM is currently trading at approximately $0.2309, based on BeInCrypto data.
The token has risen around 11% in the last 24 hours. Over the past month, it has advanced roughly 28%, continuing a broader recovery from earlier troughs.
Other technical analysts share this optimistic outlook. Dark Defender posted an updated chart on September 28. That analysis indicated additional upside potential, building on an earlier mid-September assessment.

Recent infrastructure updates may be reinforcing the revived interest. On September 22, Mastercard-owned BVNK integrated the Stellar network into its stablecoin payments platform. This integration offers enterprise clients single-API access to Stellar's swift, low-cost transaction rails.
Those rails now span more than 130 markets globally. They facilitate cross-border payments, payouts, remittances, and treasury transfers for large institutions. Days later, Spectra Finance launched fixed-term markets for a tokenized Janus Henderson treasury product on Stellar.
That launch enables users to trade principal and yield tokens separately. It broadens fixed-income options for real-world assets on the blockchain. Collectively, these steps build on Stellar's longstanding emphasis on payments and tokenization.
The network has increasingly positioned itself as an infrastructure layer for institutions rather than purely for retail speculation. Brandt characterized XLM as a speculative play rather than a guaranteed opportunity. Results will depend on ongoing adoption and broader market dynamics.
