Polygon Labs added TRON to its Open Money Stack, letting businesses move USDT between TRON and US payment rails.
Dubai, UAE – October 7, 2026 – Polygon Labs said its Open Money Stack now works with the TRON blockchain, letting payment firms and fintechs move bank money into the leading network for USDT (TRC-20).
The addition links the stack to TRON’s stablecoin ecosystem, home to more than $94 billion in USDT and over $30 trillion in transfer volume. Firms operating in that space previously needed to put together their own licensing, bank partners, wallet systems and cross-chain tools. The Open Money Stack handles all of that via one connection.
Users can put dollars into the system using bank transfers, debit cards or retail cash, have them held in virtual accounts, and recorded on-chain subject to business-defined rules. The same API can send funds between blockchains and out through payment rails.
TRON is among the most-used blockchains for digital dollars, especially where USDT serves retail, savings and cross-border payments.
Companies active on TRON and EVM chains can now reach customers on both sides through a common infrastructure.
Polygon’s cumulative payments volume exceeded $3 trillion as of September 21. The TRON integration ties together large on-chain payment ecosystems and adds options for moving funds between blockchains and conventional finance.
“Polygon Open Money Stack was built so a payment company can plug in once and move money wherever it needs to go. Adding TRON brings one of the deepest pools of USDT liquidity into that same integration, so businesses can move those dollars onto US banking rails or across chains with the licensing and orchestration already handled underneath,” said Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs.
“Stablecoins are becoming infrastructure for real-world financial activity, from payments and remittances to treasury management,” said Justin Sun, Founder of TRON. “By connecting TRON’s global ecosystem with Polygon Open Money Stack, we’re making it easier for businesses to build payment products that bridge onchain liquidity with traditional financial rails.”
The TRON integration activates three specific components of the stack.
A remittance firm, for instance, can take dollar payments from customers and deliver USDT to a TRON wallet without having to piece together separate on-ramp, wallet and routing services. The same setup works in reverse, letting users withdraw USDT from TRON into a bank account.
Other payment models are possible too. A marketplace could accept USDT on TRON, park funds in a programmable account and settle with a seller via an EVM chain or bank account. Apps can serve users on both ecosystems without forcing them onto one chain or requiring separate compliance systems for each network.
Polygon Labs built Open Money Stack via its pending purchase of Coinme and its earlier acquisition of Sequence, merging regulated US fiat access with enterprise wallet and cross-chain routing. The stack aims to link the networks, stablecoins and bank rails clients already employ, instead of mandating a single blockchain for all payments.
This is the initial roll-out of TRON support, with additional assets, geographies and payment features expected later.
Polygon Labs is a global blockchain payments firm creating infrastructure for instant, reliable, large-scale money movement, aiming to bring all money onchain. It develops the Polygon Open Money Stack, a suite combining stablecoin settlement, wallets, regulated fiat ramps and cross-chain routing, so companies can transfer funds anywhere via a single connection. Its systems have handled trillions of dollars of on-chain value.
TRON DAO is a community-operated decentralised autonomous organisation focused on internet decentralisation using blockchain and dApps.
Launched in September 2017 and going live on its MainNet in May 2018, the TRON blockchain now hosts the largest supply of USDT, above $94 billion. As of October 2026, TRON had more than 407 million user accounts, over 15 billion transactions and more than $28 billion in total value locked (TVL), per TRONSCAN. Marketed as the global settlement layer for stablecoins and daily spending, TRON says it is “Moving Trillions, Empowering Billions.”
