The Vault is setting up a Tbilisi engineering hub via Tría Labs; licensed operations remain in Cyprus and Switzerland.
The Vault, which is regulated in Switzerland and the EU and provides institutional digital-asset custody, is establishing a new engineering base in Tbilisi as part of its expansion into Georgia. Tría Labs, the firm's local company, will host the platform's developers and cryptographers and work in close coordination with the Zug and Limassol offices.
Operating from Tbilisi, the team will keep pushing forward The Vault's core technology: the proprietary MPC library, which Halborn independently audited this year, and the SaaS and on-premise deployments that banks, asset managers and fintechs use to keep digital assets secure.
Georgia, sitting between Europe and Asia, has grown into one of the most dynamic technology destinations, drawing a steadily growing community of engineers from abroad. With the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) boosting institutional demand for regulated custody, the hub gives The Vault greater scope for scaling its product capacity. Banking, tax and employment arrangements are currently being finalised, and the first specialists are expected to start in Tbilisi over the coming months.
Licensed operations continue to sit with The Vault's regulated companies in Cyprus and Switzerland, while the Tbilisi office is devoted wholly to research and product development.
Artem Stopnevich, The Vault's chief executive, said:
“Everything we offer our clients is built on our own technology, so giving the people who create it the best possible base is a priority for us. Tbilisi offers exactly that: an open, talented and rapidly growing tech scene, and a city where our team can settle for the long term. We are delighted to become part of it.”
