Wirex will host Full Stack London, a stablecoin infrastructure conference, on Nov. 12 in London.
Wirex, a global provider of stablecoin infrastructure, is set to host Full Stack London, a new conference dedicated to stablecoin infrastructure, on Thursday, Nov. 12 at the Ham Yard Hotel in London. This closed-door event will gather founders, CEOs, and technical builders from the payments, fintech, and digital asset sectors.
Scheduled for the day after the Digital Asset Summit, Full Stack London will explore the business models and infrastructure behind stablecoins, including their integration into existing payment systems, how they can be used in everyday transactions, and the barriers that prevent wider adoption by businesses.
Among the speakers are Lord Kulveer Ranger, a UK House of Lords member and Wirex Labs board member; Kamran Shahin, vice president of product management for digital assets and payment systems at Mastercard; Julian Sawyer, former COO of Starling Bank and former CEO of Bitstamp; Nika Naghavi, Senior Director of Product Partnerships at Circle; and Alexandra Kugusheva, GTM Lead at Morpho. The sessions and roundtables will cover topics such as failures of banking-as-a-service providers, accountability for AI agent actions, a fireside chat titled “The AML Model Was Built for Humans,” and a comparison of stablecoin regulations in the UK, EU, and US.
The event occurs amid increasing competition in the stablecoin ecosystem, with Mastercard recently acquiring London-based BVNK for $1.8 billion and Circle’s payments-focused blockchain, Arc, launching in September with BlackRock as a validator.
“Card spending on stablecoins has roughly tripled in a year, and almost every major payments company is now taking a position somewhere in the stack,” said Pavel Matveev, CEO and co-founder of Wirex. “Most businesses have accepted that stablecoins matter. The harder part is making them work across cards, compliance and customer experience, and Full Stack London is for the teams doing that work.
He continued: “London is the right place to have that conversation. The FCA has finalized its crypto rules and opened its authorization regime, and the Bank of England dropped its proposed limits on stablecoins that people and businesses can hold.”
