XT Exchange allows users to copy selected Hyperliquid traders proportionally within their exchange account, moving from observation to active following.
Hyperliquid's on-chain data offers a view of trader positioning. This transparency may highlight strategies worth examining. However, replicating them involves extra work: positions shift, capital sizes differ, and each copied trade requires a way to be executed.
XT Exchange's Hyperliquid Smart Money Copy Trading links chosen Hyperliquid trader profiles to copy trading within an XT account. Qualified users can examine a profile, set an allocation, and then track eligible trades without needing to move assets to Hyperliquid, handle private keys, or engage with smart contracts. All funds and copied positions stay on XT's platform.
This enables exchange users to pursue interest in a specific trader without creating a separate on-chain trading process. Once copy trading is active, the system manages eligible orders as the lead trader's activity evolves. The follower can reduce effort in replicating each order and focus more on whether the strategy aligns with the allocation.
Proportional sizing links the two accounts. The copied trade uses the lead trader's capital ratio, not the exact order size, while adopting the lead's leverage and margin mode. Thus a smaller account can follow relative allocations without trying to match the lead's order value. The leverage applied by the lead trader is still part of the risk taken by the follower.
The timing of joining can affect the economics. If a user copies an already-open position, the order is executed at the current market price, not the lead trader's entry price. A follower who joins after a significant price move starts from a different point, even if both positions are in the same direction.
This is why copying a strategy does not replicate past performance. Entry timing, execution prices, funding costs, and fees can impact the follower's returns. The observed history helps decide who to follow but does not dictate the outcome of the new allocation.
Users maintain controls over the copy relationship, including allocation, a portfolio-level stop loss, and the ability to stop copying. These controls work under execution conditions, and a stop loss cannot ensure a precise exit price. Copied futures are still subject to losses, liquidation, as well as exchange custody and access risks.
By incorporating these strategies into its account system, XT Exchange links on-chain trader discovery with a manageable participation method in one place. The follower still has an important role: judging whether the chosen trader's activity still warrants the committed capital. Copying handles the repeated orders, but that evaluation must persist beyond the initial decision.
