BTC Braces for Another Losing October Even as Four Bullish Signals Persist
BTC is down 4.10% in October and heading for a second straight losing month, though four signals across price, positioning, on-chain data and macro remain…
Ansem turns bearish on Bitcoin and Ethereum, citing a broken trend and poor sentiment as reasons for a potential deeper pullback.
Ansem now takes a bearish stance on Bitcoin and Ethereum, saying both have lost their medium-term trend and might fall below $82,000 and $2,400 at an accelerated pace.
The trader also remarks that being bullish on onchain assets now runs contrarian to the majority view. He notes that sentiment is the worst he has seen in roughly nine years, and holders of Bitcoin and Ether could face a deeper downward move.
Ansem largely bases his call on technical patterns in the stock market. He says AI momentum stocks exhibited a parabolic blow-off top, a steep final climb that often concludes a rally. A lower high and a broken trend ensued.
He also observes that even the largest tech firms are hitting a plateau at all-time highs. Additionally, a recent breakout in the Invesco QQQ, a fund that mirrors the Nasdaq 100, failed to hold above previous highs.
i am bearish btc/eth & large cap stocks believe btc & eth have broken mid timeframe trend and will continue to accelerate to downside under 82k/2400

He also questions where the next wave of AI revenue will stem from. He argues that heavy expenditure on model training has not yet boosted profits meaningfully, using Meta’s earnings-related selloff as a case in point.
Headline risk adds further pressure. The Federal Reserve will announce its interest rate decision on October 28, during a busy week that also includes important earnings releases.
Analyst Benjamin Cowen has also presented a pessimistic roadmap for Bitcoin in the fourth quarter.
However, Ansem is not bearish on Bitcoin over the long term. He foresees a decline first, followed by an eventual increase.
The trader also expects substantial volatility in both directions throughout the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, he sees potential for some areas of the onchain market to perform well.
Ansem reserves his harshest criticism for the Crypto Twitter community. He says that while traders complain about lower price caps on tokens, too few builders are creating protocols that could change that.
it has become complete counter-consensus to be bullish onchain now, have never seen sentiment this bad & ive been here ~9 years

crypto twitter has forgotten that it requires actual work on the builder side to make coins do well, so many traders complaining about lower ceilings…
His optimism on certain tokens aligns with his August prediction that Pump.fun’s token could become one of the top ten cryptocurrencies by 2028.
For the time being, Ansem is bearish on Bitcoin but still believes some onchain ventures have potential. He thinks tokens will only surpass lower price ceilings if developers invest effort in launching protocols worth owning.
