BiFu hosted an RWA-themed dinner and networking reception at Token2049 Singapore on October 7, with talks on assets, compliance, trading and investor access.

On the evening of October 7, the first day of Token2049 Singapore, omni-asset trading platform BiFu successfully hosted two offline events at Synthesis restaurant in Suntec City. A VIP private dinner and an industry networking reception ran back to back, both built around a single theme: "Beyond the Hype: What's Still Missing for RWA to Truly Land?"

This was BiFu's first formal appearance in public since its founding. The event started right on time at 6:15 pm to a full house. Amid the packed schedule of meetings and social events at Token2049, a dinner focused on RWA adoption managed to keep its guests from start to finish. That level of attention was, in itself, the most direct answer to the evening's theme.

A Relaxed Setting, a Serious Conversation

On social media, the event went by a plainer name: "BiFu is buying you dinner."

Taken literally, it really was a dinner. BiFu invited partners from across the industry to sit down, share a meal, and talk through the work each of them is pushing forward. Holding the event at a restaurant inspired by a traditional Chinese apothecary echoed the theme in its own way: good traditional assets are being served up again, in a new form.

But the content went well beyond small talk. Rather than restating the promise of RWA one more time, BiFu wanted to open up the practical, under-discussed questions that sit between "putting an asset on-chain" and "a user actually holding it."

The picture shows two women standing next to a large sign with a cartoon character. The sign has the text "机会在哪,BIFU 你就在哪" (Where the opportunity is, BIFU is there). One of the women is pointing at the sign. There is a BiFu logo and a QR code on the left side of the image. This photo is related to the BiFu RWA-themed dinner and co-hosted event mentioned in the context.

The dinner was invitation-only. Guests spanned RWA projects and asset owners, trading and multi-asset platforms, funds, market makers and VCs, wealth management firms and family offices, stablecoin and payment teams, and representatives of Singapore's local FinTech and Web3 ecosystem. The closed-door, small-scale format was there for a reason: to let everyone in the room have a dense, candid industry exchange, rather than another social dinner that stops at pleasantries.

The setting appears to be a relaxed one, with some individuals holding plates and others reaching for food. The background features dim lighting and some decorative elements, creating a cozy atmosphere for the event.

Four Speakers, One Question From Four Angles

The core of the evening was four main-stage talks that unfolded in sequence and connected to one another. Around the question of what's still missing for RWA to truly land, four speakers each gave their own answer, from the angle of the platform, traditional finance, compliance infrastructure, and the trading market.

Hayek K|CEO of BiFu

Opening the evening, Hayek started with BiFu's original intent. He admitted he has tried many things over the years, but one thing has never changed: the pursuit of "free finance." For an ordinary user, the phrase is actually very concrete: can you have more choices, can you understand what you are buying, and can you decide whether to take part only after you understand the risks? What BiFu wants to do is make those choices easier, and give users more confidence.

The walls are decorated with colorful geometric patterns, and there are hanging lights and a flower decoration on the left. Some people are chatting, while others are looking at their phones. The BiFu logo is displayed in the top left corner of the image.

He also set out three bottom lines in front of everyone. First, never misappropriate client assets. Second, never make money by harvesting users, and never harm user interests through manipulation. Third, spell out the rules clearly, explain the risks plainly, and make sure someone is accountable when something goes wrong. He also stressed that trading carries market risk and that leverage amplifies risk, and no promise changes that. In his words: "I don't get to decide where the market goes, but I have to be accountable for how BiFu operates."

On what BiFu actually does, Hayek described it as "building a bridge." On one side are the centralized platforms and services users already know; on the other are on-chain assets, protocols, and ways to participate. BiFu's job is to be the middle layer connecting CeFi and DeFi, to sort out the complicated parts so that the right users can take part more easily, without hiding the risks involved. To do that, BiFu focuses on three things. First, understand the assets: advance fund tokenization and explore RWA, but never assume something is a good asset just because it is "on-chain." Second, design the way to participate: around mechanisms such as token staking and products fitted to a wealth-management framework, clearly explain what kind of asset each suits, what need it meets, and what risk the user takes on. Third, turn those judgments into real products, from the earlier gold-type products to the leveraged fund planned next, all of which belong to this kind of exploration. At the close, he gave special thanks to the early partners who placed their trust in BiFu during the cold-start phase, and to the colleagues who have walked the road alongside, including the friends who later moved on.

Thomas Wu|Speaker on RWA and Asset Management

Thomas Wu, who comes from a traditional finance and wealth management background, approached from the asset management angle. He noted that as funds, bonds, and stocks are tokenized, RWA is connecting traditional financial assets with on-chain capital and users. The real challenge, he said, is how to generate sustained investment demand, trading, and commercial value once an asset is on-chain.

His core point was direct and clear: tokenization alone does not create a quality asset. Tokenization changes how something is issued, distributed, and accessed; it cannot replace the underlying cash flow, legal rights, valuation discipline, and exit terms. For users, four things really need to be clear: what you are holding, where the money goes, who is responsible, and how you exit.

A person is standing on the stage, and there is a screen behind them. The ceiling has some circular decorations, and the background wall has some patterns.

On that basis, he went on to talk about how traditional finance and Web3 complement each other. Traditional institutions are strong on assets and issuer relationships, research and pricing, product structuring, and risk management; Web3 has the edge on on-chain technology, crypto-native users, wallet and trading experience, and fast iteration. If the two sides can work together around asset issuance, trading, collateralized financing, and structured products, an exchange can become the key hub connecting assets, capital, and users. He also expressed recognition for, and an interest in collaborating on, BiFu's exploration of fund tokenization and of connecting CeFi with DeFi.

Colin Lam (Xinglu)|Head of RWA Business at Finloop

Finloop's Colin Lam added the wider industry picture from the angle of compliance and infrastructure. Citing data, he noted that as of September 2026 the scale of on-chain RWA (excluding stablecoins) had reached roughly US$38.6 billion, about seven times the level of early 2025, with a number of institutions forecasting the market could reach the trillion-dollar range by 2030.

The image captures the scene of BiFu's RWA-themed dinner and co-hosted event at Token2049. A speaker stands on a stage in front of a large screen displaying a diagram with text and icons. The audience, seated at tables with drinks, listens attentively. The venue features a dark ceiling with hanging decorative lights and a wall with geometric patterns. The BiFu logo is visible in the top left corner, indicating the event's organizer.

In his view, compliance is the road RWA has to take to reach scale: major jurisdictions including the US, the EU, Hong Kong (China), Singapore, the UAE, South Korea, and Japan have been setting up regulatory frameworks one after another, and non-compliant crypto businesses face a rising bar. At the same time, three structural gaps remain between traditional finance and the chain. Legal alignment: different jurisdictions do not recognize tokenized rights in the same way. System alignment: the chain runs 24 hours a day, while traditional clearing and settlement windows are relatively fixed. Product alignment: traditional products come in many forms, but clear paths to put them on-chain are still limited. As a licensed institution holding multiple licenses from Hong Kong's SFC, Finloop aims to be a compliant B2B layer fluent in both Web2 and Web3, helping more institutions enter the RWA market with a lower barrier.

Harvey Liu|Head of Asset Operations and Trader Lead at BiFu

Harvey went straight to the most practical question, the one users care about most: once an asset is on-chain and on the platform, how does a user actually make money? In his view, tokenization solves "can you hold it," but has not yet solved "can you earn from it." A complete return path needs three pieces working together: product, investment, and strategy. Product handles "can it be used," investment handles "what to pick," and strategy handles "how to execute," and none of the three can be missing. He also cautioned that Earn, structured products, and RWA correspond to completely different user flows and ways of disclosing risk, and should not be lumped together. The first principle of how a product takes on a user is to make sure the user knows clearly what they are holding.

At the same time, he was clear about the platform's boundaries. Helping users make money is not the same as guaranteeing they will; returns come from the underlying assets and the market, not from the platform. BiFu makes no return promises and will not dress a strategy up as "principal-protected" or "high-yield wealth management." Return, risk, fees, and exit are all determined by the underlying asset and the specific product. What the platform can genuinely keep improving is making the path between a user and an asset opportunity shorter, clearer, and more executable. As he put it: whether you make money depends on the asset and the market, but this return path should be made as clear as the asset path itself.

After the four talks, the discussion did not stop there. Several guests kept pressing with questions on the topics they cared about, which was exactly the effect BiFu had hoped for in hosting the dinner.

Industry Reception: From Deep Discussion to Open Connection

After the dinner, the event moved into a more open industry networking reception. Compared with the closed-door depth of the first half, the reception had a lighter pace and more movement. Founders and co-founders of RWA and Web3 projects, ecosystem and growth leads, trading platform and financial infrastructure teams, BiFu partners, KOLs and content creators, professional community managers, and media, researchers, and investment institutions all gathered together.

This photo corresponds to the context describing the Industry Reception and the theme talk by Bryan, the BiFu Wealth Management Specialist.

The reception featured a dedicated theme talk:

He opened with "when the opportunity shows up, you have to already be there," pointing out that while the market has long been global and opportunity exists around the clock, users' accounts are still fragmented. Trading crypto, buying and selling stocks, and allocating to gold and forex often live in different systems, and in the account-opening, transfers, and waiting between platforms, real timing is often missed.

A person is standing on a stage with a microphone, possibly giving a speech or presentation. The ceiling has circular light fixtures, and there are colorful decorations on the walls. The BiFu logo is displayed in the top left corner of the image.

He stressed that the real value of RWA is not in "going on-chain," but in whether it can enter an account that a user can understand, trust, choose, and actually hold. BiFu Wealth has already launched products including a Gold Spot Enhanced Fund, a Stable Yield Fund, FUIDL, and an FX Steady Return Fund, and is working to turn asset opportunities that were once mainly for institutions into options that more ordinary investors can reach and allocate to.

He closed with "One Account, Trade the World" and "Be Here, for You": wherever the opportunity appears, BiFu wants its users to already be there. Tonight, the opportunity is on the table and the friends have arrived, and that is exactly the signal BiFu wanted its first night to send.

With live performances, a lucky draw, and plenty of drinks, and after a day packed with meetings, attendees could finally sit down and talk in depth about the projects they are pushing forward, the real problems they have run into, and where they might collaborate in the future. A reception originally set to end at 10 pm carried on well past 11 before people finally called it a night.

BiFu's Answer to "RWA Adoption": Put It Inside an Ordinary Investor's Account

Making RWA the central topic during Token2049 ties directly to BiFu's own business path. In BiFu's view, the key to RWA adoption is not any particular class of asset, but the account and the network that carry the assets.

Right now, the RWA products in BiFu's wealth segment (BiFu Wealth) are already live and in an actual fundraising phase. The first batch covers two directions. One is fixed-income-style private bond assets, with a lower risk level, aimed at users seeking steady returns. The other is primary-market equity projects, focused on leading companies in frontier tech such as artificial intelligence, giving users a chance to take part in their growth before they go public. Each project clearly labels its risk level, minimum investment, and real-time fundraising progress, with an entry threshold on the order of ten to twenty thousand US dollars. Users do not need to understand complex on-chain mechanics; they simply choose based on their own risk appetite and capital plans. Taking part in RWA feels much like picking a wealth management product.

What underpins this experience is BiNet, the omni-asset trading network BiFu has built. It integrates six major market categories, crypto, forex, commodities, stocks, RWA, and prediction markets, into one unified account system. With a single identity verification, a user can enter every market with the same account and the same pool of funds, with no need to repeatedly open accounts and move money between platforms. Underneath, it is supported by four capabilities, unified identity, unified funds, unified risk control, and unified compliance, and aggregates liquidity from more than 200 global exchanges. Paired with a sub-millisecond trading engine and smart routing, cross-market trading feels as seamless as trading within a single market.

In BiFu's words: turn RWA from an industry buzzword into a real holding inside an ordinary investor's account. That is BiFu's answer to "free finance," and the reason behind the theme of this event.

In Singapore on October 7, the meal was relaxed and the questions were real. And after this dinner, what BiFu wants to do is only just getting started.
