November's First Week Brings Three Crypto Earnings Reports
Block, Circle and Riot Platforms report Q3 earnings in the first week of November, after a stretch of rising crypto prices and Binance's $6.3 billion hack.
A Bloomberg survey shows 29% of investors expect Bitcoin above $100,000 under Republicans, versus 8% under Democrats.
A Bloomberg survey of 301 investors shows a Republican-controlled Congress gives Bitcoin the highest likelihood of finishing 2026 above $100,000. Twenty-nine percent of respondents expect that under Republicans, versus 8% if Democrats prevail.
The difference also shows on the downside. A drop below $60,000 for Bitcoin is seen by 16% under Democrats and 5% under Republicans.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, when Americans decide which party runs Congress. The lawmakers elected will set crypto rules.
Crypto rules are still absent. On September 15, the Senate voted 49-50 on whether to debate the CLARITY Act, a bill intended to set federal rules for crypto markets. It needed 60 votes.
Markets reacted to the CLARITY Act failure. Bitcoin dropped over 5% that day, and shares in Coinbase and Circle fell up to 10%.
Clearer rules could pull larger institutions into sustained crypto holdings, according to Dennis Porter, a co-founder of the Satoshi Action Fund. He told BeInCrypto he expected the effect to build slowly.
The Bloomberg survey centered its Bitcoin question around that defeat:
Even in the bull case, roughly 70% did not see Bitcoin clearing $100,000. That level is roughly 20% above Bitcoin's late-September price near $83,600.
The 60-vote Senate threshold is the barrier. The September bill drew no Democratic votes, and Republican Sen. Josh Hawley also opposed advancing it, citing risks to community banks.
The poll also has limits. Respondents opted in through Bloomberg links from October 2 to 17, and results were not weighted.
Under Republicans, 65% expect S&P 500 gains to accelerate or stay on pace. Under Democrats, 63% expect gains to slow or become losses.
Bonds tell the opposite story. More than half expect falling Treasury yields, which lift bond prices, under Democrats. Only 26% expect that under Republicans.
Separately, 62% said stricter artificial intelligence rules would hurt US stocks. Still, 55% said no election outcome would push them to consider selling.
Any bill still pending when this Congress ends in January must start over. That leaves the CLARITY Act's next attempt to the lawmakers chosen on Tuesday.
